The Department of English in association with IQAC is celebrating “English week”2023-2024 under “Utopian English Club”. Under the event various literary competitions , cultural activities and sports competitions are conducted throughout the week from 1/8/2024 to 7/8/2024. Inauguration of the event is conducted on 1/7/2024 at 11:30 AM. Life members of V.V Sangha Shri Hemareddy and Shri Vasanth Kumar were the chief guests of the programme. Shri Hemareddy addressed the students. He highlighted the importance of agriculture as an occupation in life. He says how much ever educated one is, one must know to respect the farmer as he is the backbone of the nation.
President of the programme, Principal Dr. M Prabhugouda encouraged the students to participate in such co-curricular activities in order to be successful and skillful in life. Dr. Sushma Hugar, Head of the Department of English gave an introductory speech highlighting the advantages of participation of students in extra curricular activities and to give wings to their hidden talents, creativity and skills. Dr.Shivamallikarjuna, secretary, “Utopian English Club” was also present on the dais .Students Mr. Srujan and Miss. Usha N compered the program. Miss Saba Tehaseen welcomed the gathering and Mrs Devamma delivered the vote of thanks.
