78th Independence Day celebrations held in the Bellary V. V. Sangha’s Vijayanagar College Hosapete on 15th August 2024 in the College Quadrangle at 8 am in patriotic and festive atmosphere. The Chairman Of College Governing body Mallikarjuna Metri sir hosted national flag and addressed the gathering. They advised the students not miss use the freedom. Principal Dr. M.Prabhugouda presided the function. In his presidential address he asked youths to work hard and contribute for the national construction. NCC officer Prabhuswamy conducted the parade of NCC cadets. Sharan basavaraj conducted the function. Neeranjan welcomed the gathering. Hanumanth of BA Semester gave a speech on Independence Day, Three blind students of BA 1st semester students total fee waived and cheque of refund gave on this occasion to them. To and fro travel and accommodation in lodging amount is reimbursed for the national bronze medal winner of para taekwondo competition shakshavali studying in BA Semester and he was honored on this occasion. Mr. Danajaya of our College was honoured for his selection as Agniveera in Navy. NCC cadet participated in RD period is also honoured on this occasion. NCC cadets and lecturers sung the patriotic songs and of Commerce and physical director shivakumar proposed the vote of thanks. The Coordinator of IQAC Ravikiran & Co-Coordinator srungesh were present on the dais. The College Staff and Students witnessed the event.
